1042Q..1967 Corvette Convertible with two tops, 327-350 hp, 4 speed, numbers matching original motor with CCAS/Grenning Engine Stamp Affirmation, also has factory original body/trim tag, 42,071 actual miles. Lyndale Blue paint with Black interior and White soft top. Original unrestored low-mile car in excellent condition. Bloomington Benchmark, Bloomington Gold certified, Bloomington Gold Survivor, multiple NCRS Top Flights, Bloomington Special Collection 3-times, Gold Concours award and Triple Crown award. Known as the Five Dollar Special! These original unmolested cars are among the rarest of rare and are rising to the top of the Corvette food chain as unrestored cars are used as guideposts for restorers, shining a light on the way vehicles were originally built. The solid feel of an excellent unrestored car cannot be overstated! This car is one of the elite few recipients of America’s most prestigious Corvette awards, the happy result of a lifetime of diligent care and discerning use. Unrestored and original!! It was judged worthy of Bloomington Gold Certification, Survivor and Benchmark honors, the latter being the most important of all to the demanding collector. Benchmark Certification recognizes each recipient as not only unrestored—a quality recognized in Survivor judging—but also that it remains in showroom condition, exactly as it was upon delivery from the factory with the exception of aging. These qualities make it the perfect source of reference for a top-quality restoration of a like car, ergo the term “Benchmark.” Benchmark Certification is only awarded to cars that have achieved both Gold and Survivor on the same weekend, qualify in all four Survivor categories. Benchmark is, by definition, the most important distinction in the entire Corvette judging regime, one awarded to fewer than 230 Corvettes 1953 to 1972 and less than 70 were 1967s as of this writing—including this jewel. The expenses involved in obtaining these awards could surely exceed $20,000.00. The engine, transmission and rear end are original to this car. Optioned with factory side exhaust (which was added and we have the original undercar exhaust and the rear valance), telescopic, auxiliary hardtop, M-21, 3.70 posi, SS brakes, AM/FM radio tinted windshield, rallys, redline tires, and custom fit car cover. Most all factory correct type including the spare, jack, jack tools, clear floor mats, Delco shocks, seat belts, washer system, shifter, shielding, air cleaner, alternator, distributor, spark plug shields, hoses, hose clamps, carb, window glass, valve covers, starter, ball joints, expansion tank, radiator, gas door assembly, bowtie mirror, glove box door, warranty book, owners manual, sales brochure, and T-3 headlights. Documented with the dealer invoice, tank sticker, warranty book/P.O.P., owner history, show history, old titles, photo album, certificates/awards, judging sheets, ribbons, and no less than five 3-ring binders. Also has an affirmation by CCAS/Grenning as to the legitimacy and originality of the engine block, stamp pad, and the engine stamp. Editorialized multiple times as the Five Dollar Special!! Looks, runs, and drives excellent. $149,000.00

**The 1967 Corvette four-wheel disc brakes really impressed Car & Driver Magazine enough to say in their May 1967 issue that Nader-Haddon should pressure Detroit into putting Sting Ray brakes on every car it builds.
Car & Driver went on to proclaim "As it sits, the Sting Ray is the most sophisticated passenger car made in America ⋯ in terms of engine, drivetrain, suspension and brakes ⋯ and among the best engineered sports cars made anywhere and the best all-around car of 1967."**
