Bloomington Gold Benchmark award in 2013 which includes Gold certification and Survivor certification as an original in all 4 categories. This car is one of the elite few recipients of America’s most prestigious Corvette awards, the happy result of a lifetime of diligent care and discerning use. Unrestored and original!! It was judged worthy of Bloomington Gold Certification, Survivor and Benchmark honors, the latter being the most important of all to the demanding collector. Benchmark Certification recognizes each recipient as not only unrestored—a quality recognized in Survivor judging—but also that it remains in showroom condition, exactly as it was upon delivery from the factory with the exception of aging. These qualities make it the perfect source of reference for a top-quality restoration of a like car, ergo the term “Benchmark.” Benchmark Certification is only awarded to cars that have achieved both Gold and Survivor on the same weekend, qualify in all four Survivor categories. Benchmark is, by definition, the most important distinction in the entire Corvette judging regime, one awarded to fewer than 228 Corvettes (1953-1972) as of this writing—including this jewel of which only 14 of them were 1963!! Invited to the 50th Anniversary Bloomington Gold Collection on June 10th-11th, 2022 and 18th Annual Amelia Island Concours d'Elegance on March 10th, 2013 and the June 2013 36th Annual Ault Park Concours d'Elegance and the 35th Annual Concours d'Elegance of America (former Meadowbrook) on July 28th, 2013 in Detroit area, and selected to participate in the 2013 "Chip's Choice display" at Corvettes at Carlisle on August 23rd-25th, 2013. The expenses involved in obtaining these awards could surely exceed $20,000.00. One of 199 with the Z06 special performance equipment and this one is radio delete. This is an original motor car per recent affirmation by CCAS, LLC/Al Grenning as to the legitimacy and originality of the cylinder case (engine block), engine stamp pad, and engine stampings. The affirmation certificate is included with the documentation files. Displayed in the 1963 Sydney and 1964 Melbourne Motor Shows while owned by GM Holden. Purchased by first owner from GM Holden in Sydney, Australia in 1964 through R.C. Phillips Sports Car World.
